I share my home with my cat Leo, my partner's cat Loki, and our gentle dog Luna, so I'm very aware of how important safety, territory, slow introductions, and a low-stress environment are.
I take a cat-led approach: I don't force affection, rush trust, or assume every cat wants the same kind of attention. Some cats want to cuddle right away; others need time to observe, hide, sniff, and decide. I'm patient with both. I pay close attention to body language, routines, comfort levels, and the little signals that help a cat feel safe.
